A basket of perfectly steamed Har Gow Dumplings. One-of-a-kind piece inspired by the shrimp dumplings at Jing Fong. All proceeds from this sale will be donated to the MOCA Archives Fire Recovery, a fundraising initiative to help recover artifacts from the Museum of Chinese in American whose archives were affected and many destroyed in a devastating fire on January 24th. ABOUT THE ARTIST Stephanie H. Shih explores concepts of home—not just as a physical place, but also as cultural, generational, and emotional spaces we inhabit—through the lens of Asian-American identity. Sixteen sculptures and 88 porcelain dumplings from her current body of work will be exhibited at the American Museum of Ceramic Art (Pomona, CA) in 2020. Her work has been featured by NPR, the Los Angeles Times, Vogue, and The New Yorker.
